Any chance for a rip?
I only saw full-screen DVD versions of this in video stores.

I also got this great movie on DVD, on three differents editions, two are the same PAL R2 disc from the same distributor (Laser Paradise) but with different covers, and the other is the Euro Cult R0 edition, which i'm not sure is 'legal', but anyway...

All that to say, since i'm no good for ripping movies, do you want my DVD and make it yourself ? You'll probably be better than me ! If you're interested, let me know, i'll make you a .Torrent of the DVD (probably 4 GB, didn't check) just for you, so you could have it fast, then make the DVDRip when you'll have the time !

Both are Uncut and Fullscreen (4:3), but the runtime of the Laser Paradise disc is 1:30:10 and the Euro Cult one is 1:30:04... don't ask me why...

And the picture quality is way better on the Laser Paradise disc than on the Euro Cult one, as everyones can see by themself...

I'd be interested in a nice AFR rip too.

Don't count on me for an AFR rip of it, i'm just offering the whole DVD to the one between you, kartsmobile, El Mariachi or RedVeil that want to do it I'm not good enough for ripping, so since there's only crap rips available, better be a good one this time, and the Laser Paradise DVD is the best source to make a nice AFR rip, the contrast and brightness is better, maybe even the sharpness of the picture, so...

The Laser Paradise DVD also got four language tracks :
Deutch 5.1
Deutch 2.0
English 5.1
English 2.0

Both editions are Fullscreen and Uncut, with no subtitles at all... And the Laser Paradise DVD contain Special Features (Trailer/Cut Scenes/Video Cover/Japanese Laser Disc Cover/Interview with Richard Stanley)

Oh, I was hoping that there is a widesceen version out there. Seems like this is not the case.

If we don't get a WS rip coutesy of El Mariachi I'd be willing to rip it if no one else steps up.

And what is the source of the Widescreen version (1.85:1 as listed on IMDB) ??? From a VHS or the Laserdisc ?

But i've found something on OFDb, there's a version, don't know if it's a VHS or a DVD, released by Kino / Metropol (08.11.1990). It's written 1.85:1. Does anybody got that one ?

Nice, but I would rather watch the movie. A wide-screen version would be like a dream come true.
That 1.85:1 rental version from Metropol doesn't sound like a real version.

I agree with EvilDeadlyImmortal that the Laser Paradise disc looks like the better source. So if there's no 1.85:1 version, someone should rip that.

I had the Red Edition DVD for a while.
I kept ripping it but it's a bad source. The picture is mostly red-ish which makes it even harder to rip.
I did finish it and plan on releasing it, but don't expect much of it.

There's no WS DVD of this AFAIK
The americans planned a DVD release some years back, but it has yet to be released.

So maybe someone more experienced in ripping then me should give this a try otherwise expect mine this month... in Full Screen with 5.1 sound and no subtitles.

If ^Rouge^ is more experienced, he should take his turn on this.

I can give it a shot as long as everyone is patient, I'm a slow and anal retentive ripper.
