IMO the only thing decent that brentwood ever puts out is old TV films that are in 4:3 anyways.

I checked Pieces from GrimRippers, and I must say, you're right. Frame count in both versions is almost identical (only 3 frames difference), so the old one is uncut as well, but it's quality is much lower + bad cropping, interlaced and bad AR. So STR version is a keeper with no doubts. Thanks :beerchug:

I finally got to watch this the other night... what an awesome film!!! But from what I'm reading on IMDB, it appears this rip is cut! It's only 1 hr 21 min. compared to the running times of 87, 89, and 90 min. listed on IMDB. I know sometimes IMDB gets those wrong, but under "Alternate Versions" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082748/alternateversions) it says:

# Alternate footage includes black underwear on the skinny dipping scene and a less gory shot to the deans head and the gore omission is in the elevator deleting a shot of the left arm being cut off

In this rip the swimmer girl wears black underwear

, the dean's death is not gory, and the elevator girl is only shown getting her right arm sawed off.

I did find this other rip Pieces.1981.Xvid-SiCK.avi that is listed at 85 minutes. Does anyone know the quality of this and which footage it shows? Or any other version that is the most complete? I'd rather have a low quality uncut film that a high quality cut one.

The DvD itself states it is Uncut.Why is sicks version longer?NTSC vs. PAL.
They are probably talking again about the brentwood dvd.This film wasn't even rated on the cover.You aren't going to find a more uncut version on edk.

Before I go any further with this uncut shit I want to see some actual fact that there are these scenes actually existing..Not some guy on IMBD saying "well there is an uncut version that shows this,this and this".Show me something that carries weight and I'll listen...Until then to me this is UNCUT....Why all this controversary over this movie?....NO BETTER CUT EXISTS!!!
Don't you think if they went to all the trouble of making a 2500 limited edition dvd that they would have tracked down all the footage or at least talked about it on the dvd itself?

Sorry mate, that was exactly my point (although I didn't make it particularily well :oops:

) I meant that everyone's banging on about an uncut version, that doesn't actually exist. IMDB is frequently wrong and I think that this is another case of imdb spreading wholly innacurate information.

I think that last statement you made pretty much states it all about IMDB.

Why people look at that site as end all be all is beyond me.I can't even count the amount of mistakes IMDB has made in my own experience...and then when you get the the cult level of these movies we are releasing....you are gonna get info that is not only wrong...but sometimes insulting to the inteligence. :lol:

Sometimes I've tried to correct IMDB's database... since it's a reference, at least with those hard to find movies, giving accurate infomration is ok (I guess)

I won't even waste my time with them...They are purely reference links for this site....We have played with the idea of other Data bases for the movie info tags.But unfortunately because of its size and not information content it has pretty much become the standard as far as releasing goes to put an IMDB link in there when posting.
Most of the people that actually post at IMDB are sheep anyways.....I am a wolf...I ain't a Shepherd and damned sure ain't a sheep.I would sooner have the public in total ignorance then to even waste a second of my time trying to inform or correct idiots who obviously talk before thinking anyways.Wait....a thought process at IMDB????Heh...Now what the Hell am I thinking!!!??? :lol:

Yeah... however bear in mind that there are many surreal movies that have NO info at all, so sometimes I just go ahead and provide that info to IMDB, so all those idiots can read (and learn) :lol:

I hear you...I got one coming up here in a day or 2 that is not listed at all at IMDB...Mind you it is a short gore porn but they got Ricahrd Kern stuff up there so it is just not listed for simple ignorance of the movie.Don't get me wrong...I use IMDB frequently...it is a good place to start reseach...just don't stop there though.They do provide a service and I am greatful for that...but alot of times the other people that post say in the message boards or the reviews...Just don't have a fuckin clue.

...I must admit I've also have submitted movies for IMDB from a director that are unlisted and must say that they take quite sometime reviewing it until they add it to the database.

Yes... noone should stop there and keep on researching, but at least IMDB gives some kind of info

Yet.. I've seen many Non-US Flicks that get really bad voting becuase they want to.. ppl dont even take their time to watch the movie, just vote with a 1 so it won't become one of the best films in the stoopid IMDB best flicks in history (and that is really sad)

...and of course as you said there's the typical youngster teenager discussing at the IMDB boards, clueless and giving a lot of wrong information :evil:
