Glad you liked it rtm1981 Actually after spending so much time re-watching the movie while doing the subs, I suddenly felt like I needed the DVD So I bought it yesterday. I'm gonna check the audio commentary 'cause sure it has to be interesting. There are also 2 shorts by Eric Valette on the DVD, will check that and let you know about it !!

Cool Bonnie After anticipating the arrival of your subs for a while, I started building up these huge expectations so I was afraid I wouldn't enjoy it..
But sure as hell I did
I don't know if all you nutcase-horror-fanatics will love it, but I think you should tyr it out .. I loved it at least. And you know what they say...
If rtm1981 says it's fine, it's ten times that!
Whattya mean they don't say that??!!
Of course they do!

I thought it was quite a well done movie. Very well structured story that got a little hazy at the end but that didn't take away much from it at all. I can honestly say there wasn't one part where I wasn't interested in what was going on. Not particularly scary but it disturbed the hell out of me. *lol*

I saw the move yesterday, and i liked it because it was so absurd. Can't help to smile when i think about two of the characters in the movie..
It's probably not for everyone.. I guess John Doe will enjoy it, and d0c will probably hate it..
Anyway, thanks for the subs, gave me 90 minutes of enjoyment...

i have watched the movie as well and i agree that it's quite an interesting movie. Not superb but good in it's own class. And thanks to bonnie for the well done sub. Cause badly done sub could spoil a great movie. In fact I learned a few words out of the subs...

HAHAHAHA!
But... how can the subs be long winded if they just say what the characters say?................? (IF i've understood the meaning of "long winded" properly! heh. couldn't be bothered to look it up)

Yeah, but despite the four pages of posts I don't think people have had the "guts" to *click*! Or we would've had more comments i think.. of course the movie might go behind a huge list of othjer movies to watch i gave this one priority

I think it's definitely worth watching this movie as it clearly represents the new reborn French fantastic cinema - along with Haute Tension. To me, it was pretty daring from Eric Valette to shoot such a B movie at a time where French cinema is mainly delighting in popular comedies or psychological dramas. It was really time to see something fresh on our screens, I tell you !

lol i watched this a 2nd time. it kinda reminded me of another lowbudget film, cube, which i watched again right after and like a lot better. i wish this would of been more gory. it didnt really get under my skin, and imo fell short in the end, it had an interesting set up but.... had they added more of a hellraiser female cenobite demon twist or more ****SPOILER**** time travel i think i would of liked it more. imho most films in any genre w/out a woman in at least a supporting role SUK, this less than others but i still felt kinda gay watching it Id only give a 5.5 outta 10. for this film. imo the 4 characters were very unbelievable and uninteresting, i didn't care if they escaped or not but i was a bit offended that the film makers didn't torture them more brutally eh @ first i thought the director was making them corny so it would be easier to watch them get mutilated so when it never happened I kinda felt let down. its worth checking out but id never buy it. anyhow thanx again for the srt i couldnt of sat through it w/out them rtm1981 wrote: | HAHAHAHA! True, french is a pain in the ass when you are a programmer and have to design your program that a french translation is possible.

@ bobbysyills : it's always good to have different opinions. When I first saw the movie, I didn't really enjoyed it, but that was surely because I knew that after the showing, there was a presentation of remastered copy of The Evil Dead the same night. I was kinda ... absorbed
But now that I've seen it another time, I appreciate it in a better way. Sure it's not exactly a horror movie - it's not gory, not so scary - but it's damn stylish and has quite an atmosphere. Certainly not one of my all time favorite but it definetely belongs to my dvdtheque.

Subs at last! Thanks!
But you really shouldn't make new threads for previously posted movies.
