Hi Eldin, thanks for this, looks like I'm gonna enjoy this at some point.
Some more free tricks and tips:
- If you name your file with spaces, it will turn up like a % mark in the ed2k link. It looks ugly, so if you replace the space by a dot, this problem is gone.
- 700 MB rips are ancient. They are made to put on one CD, but almost nobody is using CDs anymore. The DVD filesizes are also almost out of date, but they are still used by many people. So you can make your rips 1/3, 1/4 or 1/6 DVD size, depending on its length and age (older movies almost always have mono-sound and therefore don't need AC3 sound - so they can be smaller files).

Is this a GK rip or still Auto GK?
Yea sorry, I keep forgetting about the spaces in the file name when posting links on here, if I rename the files in emule can I repost the link or will it fuck it up ??
I know 700 MB rips are ancient but I am on 20Mbps Virgin media connection and if I put my upload speed above 60KB/s I can't use the internet lol, however they are supposed to be upgrading my upload speed to 2Mbps but when I don't know, so if I release say a 1/3 dvd rip it will take forever to spread and to be honest considering the file is only 700MB it looks pretty good, as did 'Subconscious Cruelty' IMO, when I finally get my virgin upgraded I'll stick up some bigger ones
By the way this file dosen't have AC3 it has vbr mp3 and yes it was ripped with GK but I forgot to load the MPEG custom matrix after I reset the settings in xvid due to some errors and didn't realise until I posted, sorry anyway I have just ripped and encoded 'Bloodsucker Leads The Dance' with the custom matrix again to 700MB and again it does look good, do you think i should re-rip and encode it to a bigger file size ?? ain't a problem, only takes about 40 mins tops.
I did search before posting (and buying the dvd) and if you click on the stats for your file you are presented with this > Result from ed2k::8F0B1BC2A816137DAE0CC1C32E798852 Time 22.01.2011 17:06:24 GMT :: Result is valid until 22.01.2011 22:06:24 GMT Maybe a incomplete, rare or new file! Server Name Size Availability Complete Source no1.eserver.emule.org.cn China KILLER'S MOON - (1978).avi 1.46 GB 1 0 China 1 Server KILLER'S MOON - (1978).avi 1.46 GB 1 0 China
as in no complete source, I was trying to download that file for about 6 months or more, never saw a full source that is why I bought the dvd and ripped it
Sorry Junkboy, thinking about it I didn't search before I posted it today, only when I was origionaly looking for the film and couldn't find a complete source for any rip, so merge this if thats the thing to do

If you rename a file which is in your temp folder of eMule, then you can make the name you posted on forums matching for clarity, but it is not necessary. Since the hash won't change, people will still be able to download it.

OK, I get it, but then go for 746, it will give a little extra.

Of course this one doesn't have AC3, because it is a 70s movie, most of them don't need AC3 at all.

Mmm, got that one ripped too, ready for release. It'd be stupid to release both. I'd like to release mine if you don't mind. I'll post up my "to rip" list here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17654&start=200 and if you do the same, we won't be wasting time on encodes which are done by someone else.

Yea, ok slayer, you release your rip, I have some other stuff I can release, including Venoms 'Alive in '85' and the film 'The Frightened Woman', and by the way I have seen that 'release thread' you have mentioned, anyway cheers
