During the Cuban Missle Crisis, a Russian sub is sunk while en route to Havana. As the sub goes down, the hold is breached and barrels full of some mysterious substance tumble out. Years later, an American nuclear submarine is transporting a captured terrorist to the States. The terrorist's henchmen, however, are planning to hijack the sub and rescue their leader. Meanwhile, a large, unidentified creature is approaching the sub at high speed...

Is it a dead link now, or something?

Again, I have yet to watch it, but it looks like cheesy fun

I'm getting very few requests for this. If anyone hasn't seen me as a source, pm me, and I'll send you the link with source attached.

Everyone else might need to do a little a4af?

Remember, as soon as it's complete, I'll start sharing the next one. 8)

don't worry, it'll be well spread eventually. I was just hoping it could go as fast as 'Spiders' did.

damn, I hope this'll be completed soon, cause BOY do I have a TREAT for all you guys! I just finished watching 'Black Rainbow' and it's a damn amazing piece of film. Much better than I remembered it (how often does that happen?), I cannot understand why it is not more recognized. So good, that I'm contemplating making a dvdr release out of it, and include all the luptious extras.

Release it!

I'll back you up on Octopus, already shared 3.25GB of it, and can keep it on release.

Please, do! I hate Arquette, but if you recommend it I'm definitely going to get it. As for DVDr, you might want to think it over - I think much more people are going to be interested in a DivX/Xvid version.

Jynks: you're right. I should do that. but I might use a little more time on this release. here's the extras worth having:

- Dir Com.
- 25 min featurette
- 30 min interviews and shit. Now this one might need a little editing, as it's cut into many parts, and alot of the segments comes many times. But I think the last part of it is the one that has everything in all the other parts.
- There's 3 audio tracks (not counting the dir. com). Which one to choose?
- Dolby Stereo 2.0
- Optional Surround 5.1
- DTS - Decoder Required
If I use the 5.1 or DTS then I prolly need to make it more than 1 cd right? The playing time is aprox 1:38.
I guess I could always release just the film first, and then wait and see if you guys want the extras after you've seen it?

Karst: Tnx mate!!! =)

Polityk: Yeah, was gonna write a short review and put in a special recomendation for you. =) Was thinking 'This is something for Polityk' when I saw it.

Maxpayne: sorry, but they're just not worth it. Especially since I just released the 1cd xvid rel of octopus 1, I sincereley doubt many others would be bothered to download 4gb of it again. I was contemplating DVDR for Black rainbow only because it was such a great movie and because I wanted to release all the extras.

Just watched Octopus.
Since I was so pleasantly surprised by 'Spiders' I was hoping for another one in the same league. Oh, was I ever dissapointed. First of all it's not really a movie about a giant octopus. The mess of a plot is actually about a terrorist and the agent trying to stop him. Throw in a couple of marines in a sub and an average looking woman with no reason for being there and stir well.
Make sure your actors are at a level that even Ed Wood wouldn't accept and have them say lines of absolutley no importance to the story. It doesn't matter if the actors don't appear to be afraid, or if they don't appear to care if their best friend dies. No one will notice.
You can add very few scenes of an octopus if you like, but they really aren't needed. If you do however, make sure the cgi is much worse than what can be found in any computer game cut scene.
Don't forget to put in alot of jokes. Even if you don't think they're particularly funny yourself, most people who will watch it will probably laugh hysterically, because they're so stupid anyway.
Oh, and if you want to film a scene in Russia, you don't have to actaully go to russia. Just have a few people dance around in russian like costumes and speak with fake acksents. Everyone will fall for that old trick.
