You may be wondering why I've released another rip of this so I'll explain. I originally ripped from the region 2 DVD that I bought & heard a lot of people discussing the Region 1 Dark Sky Ultimate Edition DVD as having a far superior transfer so I found myself a copy. Heres the comparitive screens for you to see for yourself:

Plot: En route to visit their grandfather's grave (which has apparently been ritualistically desecrated), five teenagers drive past a slaughterhouse, pick up (and quickly drop) a sinister hitch-hiker, eat some delicious home-cured meat at a roadside gas station, before ending up at the old family home... where they're plunged into a never-ending nightmare as they meet a family of cannibals who more than make up in power tools what they lack in social skills...

Spud knows his stuff too, but hes been very busy recently & so didnt like to bother him. Lux took time out to help me get the best out of what was a really grainy DVD. This rip has come out unbelievably clear considering what I had to deal with & it took just under 23hrs to rip this with Luxes Degrain filters, (2 of them) on the dual core & taught me a lot of patience, so as I already said, big thanks to Luxury Deluxe :beerchug: :drunk:  :bliss:

Thanks Grind :D
Regards the tutorial, I've written it because it took me a long time to work it all out with a lot of help from the named people & I want to help other people to avoid the problems I encountered from the many online guides that I was using that only got me confused. What I've tried to do is include everything that was explained to me after trying to figure it out for myself thus hopefully helping others to get it right first time. When some people actually use the guide there is going to be further questions that need answering. When this occurs I'll update the guide as I'd like this one to be the easiest to understand, most foolproof guide that I'm capable of doing. (Hopefully it will become sticky).
As far as an intermediate guide & advanced guide, I'm not capable of those right now & watching Lux in action on his mission to understand everything there is to know about filters & matrixes definately proves theres much more for me to learn. :wacky:
