hmmm, i moved it to non-horror, but then i read the description and the genre specification at imdb and allmovie. Without seeing it, they both make a convincing case its 'horror'

I think the answer is both, however my guess is not as much as horror as it is porn....

It's supposed to be (for what I remember seeing the 1st 20 min of the film) a vampire that sucks her victims (all male) dry off their COCK :lol:

(that's a rather cruel but interesting way to die).

I always thought macumba was a kind of ritual to put someone under a curse... not necesseraly envolving animal sacrifice... but you´re brasilian, so you must know better than me...

Macumba means "drum", and it's a ritual from de "Umbanda" cult wich is a mix between the religion of the african people that were brought to south america as slaves and catolic cult. The macumna is used to call espirits to make our wishises reality.
To have and idea, umbanda cult is a mix between african and catolic religion, like "Voodo" in Haiti or "Santeria" in Cuba.
