OK, in the ongoing quest to find different Halloween versions, Here is the TV version of the first film, this contains new footage shot by John carpenter during the making of Halloween II and put into the original Halloween to replace the gore that the TV studios had to remove, it actually makes a big impact to the film and makes Michael even more menacing than he already was

...so when this cut was assembled was during the production of Halloween II and that was in 1981 and so explains the date
