Jean-Marc Rocher on IMDb wrote:
A civilization on a distant planet has found a way to solve its garbage problem: turning it into energy and beaming it into outer space. A flaw in this system is found when the signal is accidentally picked up on Earth by the Putterman Family's home satellite dish. While this would ordinarily be just another mess, this particular transmission contains a hungry trash monster who quickly begins snacking on various Puttermans. Only young Sherman Putterman has any clue what is going on, but nobody will believe him. Is there any hope for the Earth?

hehe... home come whenever someone takes it upon themselves to put "very high quality" or "dvd quality" in the filename it is invariably not

Cheers for this, don't think i've got a decent rip of this. :)

Quality is indeed good, but I have a crop problem here, compare my VHS rip:

This one is cropped above and below.

Mine is cropped left and right

Both of them are missing something.

at least this is DVD quality 8)

Btw, this movie is a totally must-see. From the art design to the twisted humor, the colorful but also a little somber atmosphere (the movie looks like a cartoon sometimes, just to look like a dark futuristic tale with black humor later,it's also cool in a strange way how you can't really place the time period they're on), the creatures, the cheese... and on top of that one of the most addictive soundtracks ever, the intro credits for this one with "terrorvision" playing on the background is pure gold. Overall an awesome 80's horror achievement IMO.

Agreed on everything, but this is not the first time I catch an overcropped DVD (a few days ago Burial of the Rats and The Vineyard both cropped to 16:9 while my tapes are full 4:3 with more stuff visible on screen), I think it's a bad habit opposite and equal to Pan&Scan for widescreen movies. They should just leave movies as they are.

I agree. I experienced similar things with the Demons rip. I compared the one I downloaded to the one in PC_Arcade's collection. Both have many flaws. Finally the rip released by video-man is superb.

EDIT: Added a "Slim Case CD Cover". You can download, print and cut it out. It fits perfectly into the front of a slim CD case. :beerchug:
