Cross takes Bud to go and visit her mother, who has become sick. She arrives home, talks to her brother (Trevor), checks on her mother, then goes to the house of one of Trevor's friends after he and Nina explain his symptoms as being similar to their mother's. |

thanks for the proper  I burned the screener because I thought that was clean and I'm naive and believe people will clearly state what's going on with a screener instead of posting 100% watermark/B&W/lettering-free screenshots.

The movie was watchable, but that pack shot is truly terrible.  I'm surprised Romero allowed his name on this, since apart from the presence of zombies and a couple of the characters' names there's little to link it to DOTD.

I don't think it is so bad. Looks like the time of slowly lurching zombies is once and for all over. Surprisingly I think this actually takes a bit of the horror. Waves after waves of unthinking and slow masses, which give one enough time to think of the hopelessness of ones own situation is worse than being surprised by turbo zombies and constantly being forced to react. No time to think, but also no time to despair. So this one definitely was weaker than the original. It had many plot holes, e.g. on the one hand trying to give the zombie outbreak a scientific explanation, something that never really works, but on the other hand making the zombies highly combustible. Hello? ~70% of a human body are water. I doubt any virus could turn that into gasoline. Still, it was entertaining.

Not got round to watching this yet, read about it in fangoria... cheeky-shit director had the nerve to say Day of the Dead is the weakest of Romero's three zombie films and he saw it as the one where he could improve it. Delusional director's always make me chuckle; I'm guessing due to rights and script issues that this is similar in name only... half of these 'remakes' are all about cashback anyway Its near the top of my pending pile, but i think i'm going to watch land of the dead on hd-dvd first (£1! wooo!)
