I was surprised to like it, as it looks thoroughly uninspired at first glance. The premise is boringly familiar, a guy that is sceptical towards everything moves into a house that just happens to be haunted, the standard chain of events then follows, none of which are particularly unexpected (or originally done). The acting is corny at times, but surprisingly effective (maybe because of it) and the movie having a clear audio track (instead of a loud music and people's voices reduced to mumbling and whispers) helped a lot. I also liked the autumn colours that it was shot in a lot.
However, contradictory to what the strangely surprised doc (a psychiatrist at that) in the movie might think, clinical insomnia not only "may cause", it does cause some heavy duty hallucinations, both audio and visual, on regular bases.
Another solid 6/10 for me. Your mileage will probably differ though.
