Does anybody know what's the difference between this (Extended) and "Unrated" that I've seen somewhere? The IMDb shows only "Regular 92, Extended 102 minutes".

As English isn't my native language, I sometimes use English subs even for an English-spoken movie.
In the case of "The Haunting in Connecticut', there is a problem. I downloaded the extended version from this site, and in selecting subs (from another site) I took care of the word "extended" - well, in spite of that, the subs are correctly synchronized at the beginning of the movie, but totally out of place near the middle.
I tried several times from different sources, each time with the word "extended". It was always the same problem. In opening these subs files, all of them were, more or less, for the 92mns version.
Can anybody help ? where could I do the correct subs for the 102/103 mns cut, in English or French ? thanks in advance !

It sounds like the framerate is just wrong, especially since it starts going awry in the middle of the movie. Try fiddling with it in Subtitle Workshop, that program is your friend when it comes to subs! Check the framerate for the rip (for example 23,976 fps) and then open the subs file into Subtitle Workshop and change the framerate to, for example, 25 fps. See if that helps.

Thank you, Slayer - I'll try today. And of course I'll post about the result...
I encountered this kind of problem several times in the past, generally when a movie was in Ntsc and the offered subs for Pal (or the reverse) but this time - as it's a very recent movie - I didn't think to that, I was persuaded it was a confusion between the different cuts of the film !
(last note). I tried all the options offered by Subtitle Workshop and none gave the correct synchonization between words and subs. The more "adequate" just give 10 seconds of intervalle between a sentence and its subtitling. But I think I'll get an adequate source in the future... Thank you for your help, anyway, and of course I'll use Subtitle Workshop in the future.

No, it wasn't the case (it wouldn't be a problem for me, I'm accustomed to make this with another programme) - finally I downloaded from the first version in this topic (extended version made by DIAMOND), found the subs in another forum (but also from DIAMOND) and it works perfectly.
Of course, the most recent source in this topic is perhaps better, but after verification, it's slightly longer than the first one, in spite of both being "the extended version". The first one runs for 1h 42mns 29secs - but the recent one is 1h 42mns and 50secs - so it explains why it was impossible to fix the subs. In each of my essays with Subtitle Workshop, the subs were OK during the first part of the picture, then de-synchronized. I don't know what is the cause of the difference (21 seconds) between the two sources.
