Directed by
Narciso "Chicho" Ibañez Serrador

Written by
Juan José Plans (novel) & Narciso Ibañez Serrador (screenplay)

Cast
Lewis Fiander, Prunella Ransome, Antonio Iranzo, Miguel Narros,
un montón de niños anónimos (a lot of anonimous children)

Synopsis: On holiday in Spain, Tom and Evelyn are enjoying their time alone together and eagerly anticipating the birth of their third child. During the trip, the couple rents a boat and heads to Almanzora, a small, quaint island that Tom previously visited years earlier. When Tom and Evelyn arrive on the island, they find all the streets and buildings deserted, except for small groups of children, all of whom do nothing but stare and giggle eerily. Tom decides to search the island for other people but cuts his quest short after watching in terror as a young girl beats an old man to death with a cane. The couple hides in a hotel and radios for help, but to no avail. A battered, bloody man, also hiding out in the hotel, tells Tom and Evelyn that, a night earlier, the children on the island left their homes and began methodically killing all the adults on the island. Soon, the psychotic children converge on the hotel, and to escape, Tom and Evelyn must consider the unthinkable: Can they kill a child?

Quote:
"The closing 10 minutes come from a different era in filmmaking, when horror movies could spit in the eye of the status quo and say that good does not always prevail, no matter how much we'd like it to."
