Inspired by Oxide’s unhappy memory about the time he spent with his ex-girl friend, the story of Diary begins with a young woman (Charlene Choi) meeting a guy (Shawn Yue) looks likes exactly like her ex-boyfriend, who has been missing from her life for two years. Is he really her ex-boyfriend or a total stranger?

Another one from the Pong brothers, though this time, as indicated, a solo project (poor Oxide!). Not really a horror again, actually a psychological thriller. A rather nice portrayal of a psychotic bitch. The clues are all around, so there's no real mystery here, but still the pacing is nice and it gives you a cute suffocation impressions. To my pleasant surprise the spoken Cantonese and the typical HK production values steer clear from any comedy aspects this time. Thankfully, this is much more like The Eye than The Eye 10. A deserved 6.5/10 for me. Would be more, but some of it is just too obvious.
