A group of young people travel by boat to a small island in the Aegean Sea. However, the discovery of a horribly mutilated body soon cools their enthusiasm! Next, their boat mysteriously slips it's moorings and they are left stranded. They pass the night in a small house, but one of their party, Daniel, is seriously wounded by a terrified blind girl hiding in the basement. The island's grisly secret is finally revealed in the pages of a diary: a tragic accident has derangered the mind of one of the inhabitants and turned him into a monster with an appetite for human flesh! The youngsters must battle for survival against this blood-thirsty cannibal!
