I watched the TDM (640 x 352 | 1995kbit/s | 23.976 fps 2 cd) version this morning, and I thought it was just OK. The animation was fine, but none of the characters opened their mouths wide enough when they talked and it really bothered me. Also, Leon only had two expressions the entire movie, scowl, and scowlinger (I know this isn't a word) Finally, the weird sexual tension between Leon and the other chick (not Claire) was laughable.

They really wasted opportunity to have cameos in in, but sadly there was none. ZIP.. They didn't even connect it to any of the other games other than what happened in Raccoon city.

lol.... made me smile when leon was doing a speech and it cut to a lorry to cover the bad lip sync! :lol:

They could have at least paid the extra pennies for lip sync! The animation was poor for people in the airport at hte beginning, but all action sequence, zombie animations, etc. I thought were really good for the budget. The fire looked good too. Any of the dark scenes, zombies, or fire looked decent enough.

If they had better voice acting cast and lip sync it would have been a lot better. There's some setup for the RE 5 game too.

Not as shit as the Resident Evil movies by Anderson, not the sequels anyway :lol:

Just to follow that up, its clear they've been reusing assets from the games; all the zombie animation, gunshots... the G-Tyrant, etc. all looked great; but anything that would be only for this movie, like the daylight shots in the airport just looked naff.

I think if they just stuck to the grittier night/action scenes, applied some of the babylon 5 style zooming/panning, etc and fixed the lipsyncs it would have been much more enjoyable.

This is a prequel to RE5; the general they mention and the attack in india... as far as i can gather these are what are the precursors to RE5. The african general who is trying to by the G Strain is the general in RE5.
