Both prev dvd from Ger were pal this is a R1 rip. When it completes will compare it to the GrimRippers vhs rip I have.

The R1 rip might be from the MYA disc then. If it is, then there's a few scenes (about 5 minutes worth) that are sourced from very low quality VHS.

Mmm, melonfarmers is talking contradiction: They say: The uncut region 1 DVD is available at US Amazon (in the column it says 2:32 mins cut) And then they say: The pre-cert VHS was released uncut in 1982 by Medusa. Ok didn't notice before but the specs for the It/Eng include no of frames (Total Frames: 135,125 Runtime 1:33:55s) compared to Absurd.UNCUT.1982.VHSRIP.DivX-GrimRippers - Duration: 01:30:16 (135,396 fr) More frames in the vhs rip tho not that many more, in fact could be same cut but better Q,

No contradictions there Slayer - The cut time relates to the UK cinema release. @Dr Phibes - Cheers for checking Any interest in an AFR? Which chroma do you prefer if there is because it's been tinkered with on rico rip... Original:

 Here is a capture made with vlc. The other ones were made with bsplayer, and there is chroma difference yes. I guess it comes from the reader. Sorry 'bout that...

Skipping throught it, it looks like it's gonna need a lot of calls of Trim() for the cropping and for the sections that are lower quality so I haven't encoded it yet. That's just a preview screenshot in AvsP.

Ok i've just done the absurd thing and watched both rips side by side  there is only one difference between the dvd rip and the GrimRippers rip and that is the title screen, the dvd rip having the original Rosso sangue, other than that it is the exact same movie. thanks again for the rip a good update Junkboy if your going to rip there are some issues with the source, here's a screen from what is obviously a lower Q insert  PLEASE NOTE that black bar is only there for a short while. this is a perfectly good rip more a source issue.
