This is the restored version of Witchfinder General, using cuts from other versions to make the most complete version ever released. Now, be aware, some of these cuts are not of very good quality, but they were the best available. They are usually the ones edited out for their gore or sexual content.

Anyway, enjoy this cult classic from the late, great Michael Reeves.

PS - released using Jumpstart. :wink:

PPS - sorry folks, but there are no subtitles of any kind on the original DVD which is kind of disappointing, but there you go.

That's indeed the reason I made the post. It's quite annoying when searching in eMule for a certain movie to see a couple of "witchfinder general.avi". Don't know if it's dubbed what codec was used no info about the source and who the ripper was (which can give you an idea about quality sometimes). I hate it when people retag, it's there for a reason :matrix:

Anyway, this has been cleared up :mrgreen:

Cant really find anything to clear this up but i dont think any of the movie is missing, if you read thru the alternate versions on imdb there have been changes made according to country of release, it maybe the credits with the poe narration

I have actually got this on dvd with both versions on it, just watched the end part of the export version again ( it's one of my favorite films) it runs for 1:22:50, the film does end with the girl sreaming then goes to the end credits.
The dvd also has a music video called 'Matthew Hopkins' by a band called 'Cathedral' who used to be an ultra heavy Doom metal band but have evolved into more like a Black Sabbath'y style outfit, and I can recommend it if you ain't seen it.
