guys, i know threads are not usually open to opinions of the subject. but this is the only movie for as long as i can remember that lived up to the hype. i am here to testify to those still undecided as to whether or not they should spend their time on this one.

i just finished watching The Descent and i am now placing it in my top 10 all time favorites.

the movie i didnt know i was waiting for, unfolded before me.

i absolutely agree! it made me jump a couple of times and the shots in those caverns just made me so uncomfortable (i suffer slight claustrophobia myself). the gracious gore and the well done characters just gave it the perfect finishing touch! one hell of a movie! :beerchug:

I really enjoyed this, probably as much as haute tension as far as modern horror films go but I got a bit lost. Why did she kill her friend towards the end? Like that bit made me go hummm what was that about.

Whats the explanation?

Well
1) her friend had an affair with her husband
2) this was told and proven to her by the other chick, that got killed accidently by her friend Juno. And Juno lied to her about killing the other girl.
So she took revenge. Or let the crawlers take her revenge...

Finally managed to see it...
very similar with WRONG TURN and CREEP... :mrgreen:

I liked the battle scenes and the abundance of blood (that sea of blood was awesome!)... Let's not forget the chicks too!
