Cannibal Ferox 2 aka Massacre in Dinosaur Valley (1985)

This surprisingly good film was a late entry in the cannibal genre, with a release date of 1985.

This particular rip, though it appears to be from DVD, suffers from some type of interlacing problems and the video quality isn't too good. Also, this appears to be cut since it's only 81 minutes long, compared to lengths of 85 and 88 minutes lsited on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089562/). Indeed when watching the movie I saw a few abrupt edit cuts, particularly during a lesbian love scene toward the end of the film.

Still, this movie has been pretty hard to find, so this may be your only chance to see it... and if you are a fan of cannibal films then you should like this one, it's actually a very good film with a decent story, decent acting, and very heavy on the nudity and violence!!!

One other remark about this film, I wouldn't say this is a "pure" cannibal movie since the cannibalism plays only one small part in the movie. The story is about a group of people stranded in the Amazon jungle when their plane crashes. There are actually two stories here, one is the group's encounter with the cannibals, and in the other story the group encounters an illegal mining operation run by a group of psychos who are just as dangerous as the cannibals.

In fact there is only a single instance of a person dying at the hand of the cannibals, but that's OK because there were plenty of other gruesome deaths by other means. One scene featured a particularly nasty piranha attack. :twisted:

I had also thought this was released before that is why I never grabbed it to rip before now...fucking vipco......strange...another thing like the zombie movies,so many and so many aka's.I beleive i can get my hands on the uncut of this sucker though :wink:

I thought that renaming a file wouldn't change the hash code, but I noticed too that the file sizes were the same on both of these versions.

Also, in the other version that I never did fully download but I did preview it, it appeared to be the exact same rip... They are both the same length in minutes and seconds, and they appeared to have the same video & audio quality.

I'm just skimming through the video again and it's not that bad all of the time, but there are certain scenes where the video looks seriously messed up, such as 28 minutes into the film in the scenes with the group trudging through swamp and jungle.

That would be awesome to see an uncut version of this movie since it is actually a good movie... I think it's just as good if not better than Cannibal Ferox (which I happen to think is just a little over-rated anyway, especially when compared to Lenzi's other cannibal film "Eaten Alive" which I like better than Ferox.)

Correct, if it's called Cannibal Ferox 2 then it's cut as this was the name Vipco gave it. Thanks for this anyway :beerchug:
