A brill film n thanks fer bringing the uncut version here! :beerchug:

Had the pleasure of Stanley n his efx director giving a lecture when I was at College while Hardware was new out!
A really sound bloke. Was full of passion and ideas!
He followed Dust Devil with The Island Of Doctor Moreau (the one with Marlon Brando. Yes that film! :wacky:

).
Hope he does summink else soon... With full control, (like on this and Hardware) and no Studio interference, (a la Moreau)... :roll:

Hope there are still sources... FS anyone? :wink:

Image quality on the german dvd is poor and the resolution is very small for a widescreen movie (note: not a good idea to go below say, 512x for a widescreen movie. Its hard here because its >90mins).

There's a US DVD out very soon (already?), which should be a vast improvement in terms of source quality

kinda, there's a multidisc limited edition version out soon/now. That's the first disc from it.

Subversive released the 5 disc set here a few weeks ago. 9999 copies (according to the case) - luckily I grabbed one and I'm going to be putting up a rip of the Director's Cut on T3 in the next week or so - assuming all goes well with the rip.

If there's interest I can also do the workprint shortly after - longer film with additional footage but 4x3 as opposed to 16x9 - but for fans, resolution shouldn't be a big issue.
