yippee found my xtro part1, just watched part 2 yesterday, was going to watch part 3 later. part 2 kind of sucks, the music (i dont complain much if any about music) stood out as the worst fitting i have ever heard.
a military task force/death squad would never act like the ones in the film, least none i seen(not that i seen much, but a regular groundpounder like me would be severely fucked if i presented myself as anything like they were).

This version is about 86:19 mins, and -listen carefuly- some parts of the english audio is in german, coz it doesn`t give in english :twisted:

So it`s longer than the US and UK- Version, with an alternativ end...wanna say that the german end is different to the english end of the flick. But it`s the english alternative end- u understand?! :lol:

The picture is more brightly as with the CMV DVD and the colors is
stronger!

To cut the matter short: longest version on damn earth :twisted:

I'm in no laughing mood, coz deinterlacing AND 700megs are two pairs of shoes, it's absolutely sickening...that takes the biscuit ey, and cut me to the quick!

What built of gknot are you using then ?

Mine must be over 6 months old and believe me I've not encountered that trouble with Xvid

i been using the latest version of gknot, and done about 100 dvds in xvid, all of them turned out fine. xvid i like more then divx now, no scanlines/deinterlacing problems, 2hours for a 2pass, all of them look clean. that latest alpha release of virtual dub is giving me problems with vhs rips though.

yeah, I can vouch for XviD.

been using G. Knot to encode dvd's into XviD and had no probs, all rips come out great :mrgreen:

Although it takes me 4-5 hours on an 1.7 AMD 512MB RAM machine, so must be doing something wrong to get it twice as long as monkeysmasher :evil:

ah, my computer i built myself, from smaller,weaker computers.i have more of a 'computerloaf' thing going on. if i dont have any background programs running i can usually rip and encode a dvd in less time it would take to watch it, and with decent quality. compared with some of my older rips, i am almost ashamed at how bad they are.
