SYNOPSIS
Uncle Charles is killed by one of his test subjects during an underground transaction to get rid of the Trioxyn-5. The kids that made it out alive from Necropolis (now in college) return and are not too much wiser for their experience. They find a canister of Trioxyn-5 and try to figure out what it is. Knowing that it probably had something to do with Uncle Charles' experiments, Julian and his new friend Jenny have the brains to be cautious where as the other kids see it as a new party drug and an opportunity to make some quick cash.
As the drug becomes more and more popular and Halloween approaches, kids are partying and overdosing on "Z". This turns hundreds of innocent costumed college students into brain thirsty zombies. It all culminates at a huge rave put on by Jenny's brother Jeremy. Zombies mistaken for costumes and two Interpol agents that are more harm than help all add to the hilarity and horror that ensues.

might be a good idea to not bother and wait for a DVD rip of four and five... scifi are known to censor their movies too.

Think you're right Spud, I'll be better off waiting for the DVD rips.

I just saw "Living Dead" and had to click it. Hello my name is Mr.Flibble and I'm a Zombieholic.

Thanks for the links though PyNhEaD.

Depends if its violent or has lots of swearing in it... scifi censor swearing most of all. Judging on the previous entries I don't think its likely.

What is likely is that this rip will be watchable but have a big annoying watermark blurred out, and in addition you'll miss out on part 4 and i'm guessing they follow on from each other.

Yep,Sci-fi censored it certainly (like tits in the movie lol)
This rip is enough good quality and watchable. Some part of watermarks appear on the screen but nothing really disturbing. This rip is only to watch the movie for those who cant wait for a dvd release (like me hehe) and not to burn it and put it in your collecttion, thats sure.
And I dont think 4 and 5 follow on from each other after watching this part 5. Looks more like an indepedent story each one.

The quality of this one is quite good. No need to wait for the DVD (my opinion). The movie itself is acceptable. I have seen worse. The only thing you should do is to give it another name. Keep telling you over and over again that it has nothing to do with part 1. In this one it is even possible to kill a zombie by shooting it in the head. Maybe the makers of part 5 have never even watched part 1 - 3. :?

You could kill them likewise in parts 2-3. In part 3, I believe they figured out an electric bullet to the head kills them and in part 2, they die by all sorts of ways, gun shots, electric shock, etc.

Infact, Return of the Living Dead Part II effectively erased the existance of part 1, because two characters come back to life (in a none zombie sense! )and its set totally independant fo the first, its a very loose remake of the first infact.

So if you can kill them, its still 'faithful' to the inconsistancy of the rest of the franchise. I believe its only part 1 they can't die in, they can certainly die in part 2 and I'm pretty sure they killed them in part 3 too.

Oh and i thought part 1 was on to something with zombies that can't die... that was kind of unique and appealing concept. Especially with the ending.

I am not quite sure about this. I actually tried very hard to forget part 2. And it is quite some time ago when I watched 3. But didn't they try to kill a zombie for good in a laboratory, thought they succeeded (by freezing its brain?) and got killed when this also proved only temporary? Perhaps I should watch part 3 again.

lol, i wouldn't bother if I were you... maybe they do freeze it, they do in the beginning, or were they shutting down the brain? Didn't they kill them later when they contain the outbreak?

Sucks either way, but it proves the point about it being inconsistant.

IMO, there has been no faifthful sequel to the original.

Does anyone know if the unrated version of part 3 was ever released on DVD?

Yup, the British version of part 3 is the unrated version but unfortunately it's 4:3, I got mine secondhand from Blockbuster but it's cheap enough at Play.

I have the DVD, it is open matte. Still preferable to the rated version I reckon. :)
