Exactly. A retail rip, after the release date is hardly a scoop.

Then what on earth are you jibbering about beating them?

If you'd have released a retail before they did, you'd have "beaten" them. That's like saying someone who releases a cam 'beats' someone who releases a dvdrip, no, they get a poorer quality source out before them, that's not so big an acheivement given the staggered availability leading to retail.

If you want to trump your own horn, you beat HLS with their screener since it was the same quality bar, not this release which is much better (clean)

No one has noticed this yet? This release is horribly off-sync. I'm not talking about a 0.02 difference, or the occasional slight in-and-out. The whole file is at the very least, 0.5-1s off sync. If anyone can find the offset, it might be watchable in MPC with the correct setting. Egh, do people not watch their releases before they set them off into the interweb? No, not 'watch', but at least SKIM. It took me about 10s to notice this.

Why am I so angry? Because this has been happening more and more and more and more. People only care about speed, just so they an say "Hah! Got it out before you</i>". Fewer and fewer actually care about the quality of their release before releasing it. Christ!

Expecially Murder-set-Pieces, great job VOMiT... didn't notice the ENDING (maybe the most important part) looked like a 5y old .wmv 500kb encode. Skimming around could have shown you that.

lol not got it yet. ViSCeRaL, looks like you can beat them to it if you can get a retail source afterall

Mistakes happen, okay its harder to spot mistakes when you speed things up and get lazy, but even then doesn't mean your going to catch errors. My encoding box doesn't even have a sound card.. luckily for everyone i check on my xbox

And no, i don't think many people watch the rips. Not all the way through anyway. Its kind of expected, people are lazy and on top of that, they already own and have seen the movie to rip it.

Thanks for the report btw, moved to lower quality.

I always do check my rips. The downside is it makes you a slow releaser. I've already lined up one rip that needs checking and yet another I'm ripping for the second time to get the filesize right. :)

Anyway, on topic again: Thanks for the info. Cancelling this and waiting for a proper (STR maybe  ).
