Plot: This is one of the recent Cambodian horror movies - the story is about a "penanggal", this female monster which appeared in a number of Thai, Indonesian, Filipino and Chinese movies.
Arb is a person who is able to remove their head from their body during the night and fly through the rice field searching for food. During day light, Arb is a normal human like other people.
The story of Arb is passing from Cambodian generation to generation. Many Cambodian people still believe Arb still exists in Siem Reap Province where the Angkor Temple is located.
Arb is a magic person who can do good or bad thing to other humans.
This story is based on a Cambodian story during Angkor Empire when Thai invaded Cambodia and captured Khmer people as their slaves. Neang Arb is the daughter of the Cambodian king. Thai burned her alive. Then she used her magic to escape. It is an excellent story because every thing is matched exactly during the time period. There are so much about the story. I recommend you to watch and to understand the whole story.

As explained in the first post, this is not a "vampire" movie, the word "vampire" was only given by the producers as an "international" title, but the female monster of this film has nothing in common with Carol Borland or Ingrid Pitt.
