Running Time; 77m 00s Source; Intervision
Synopsis
Mad scientists turn people into frozen zombies and the zombies wreak havoc and kill people.

i, errr, found this,-ahem-, and want to see if it is distorted/sound problems/not sync'd on anybody elses computer as it is fine on mine. if anyone hears distortion, buzzing, etc. i kind of think it was dubbed or the sound added from the actors after filming and not exactly matching up(kind of like equinox's main charachter).

ed2k: Frozen.Scream-samp.avi  [7.23 Mb] [Stats]

so if the sample works, i'll find ;) the rest.

there is also an occasional voice over narrator. i have no idea why. i did watch the whole thing and didnt notice any quality problems, besides the acting/plot/music/camerawork.
i swear, this is almost as good as Manos:Hand of Fate.

About the running time: my video nasties book lists 77min, IMDb lists it as 85min. Video Graveyard says 79min, Sexgoremutants lists the Red Edition DVD as 100min. So now I'm very confused... :?

The Red Edition DVD is 75 mins 24 secs. To continue the cryptic nature of this thread, the star of Nightmares in a Damaged Brain was going to find a DVDrip of this but to be honest it's not much better than a VHS and the sound quality is atrocious. But if the demand was there he might reconsider.

... and he wouldn't cry like a girl if it was moved to the VHS section!

If Monkey's has stuff missing, then I'd definitely be interested in a rip of the Red Edition DVD. 8)

I'll wait and see what the verdict is...

hehe, i didnt even know there was a dvd. hell, i never heard of the film until i was looking thru the nasties collection for some covers.

the running time i put is what the capture was. possible some time was lost from either the credits/copyright stuff /black seconds at the end or the begining, though i doubt it would add up to 7 minutes.

it is one crappy movie, adding 7 or even 70 minutes to the movie probably wouldnt help it, but i understand if people want the dvd.

urs does have that bizarre framerate too  I think the dvd would be 23.xfps or 25fps, not 29fps.

NTSC
i dont know if the framerate is compensated for regarding running time between ntsc and pal.

does anybody know for sure if a films running length in ntsc has the same running time as PAL? if it isnt the same, that 4.9 fps difference could account for some of the longer running time.

The Red Edition DVD is 25 fps PAL. 29 fps is NTSC, isn't NTSC about 4% longer than PAL, not shorter?

No, if PAL shows 25 fps and NTSC shows 29 fps then the NTSC movie will be shorter then the PAL version of the same movie. Simply because the NTSC version of the movie shows 4 more frames per second...

NTSC, despite the quality issues, keeps the run time intact. Those 29.976 fps correspond directly to the 24 fps of film. PAL shortens the movie. Rather than stretch the 24 fps to 25 fps, the PAL version includes an extra frame per second, thus speeding it up.

PAL runtimes are shorter.

oh well, like 99% of ones i put up, mere days later a dvdrip is released. i still got it shared for the people who have almost completed it, and messaged them to let them know there is a better version.
