Thanks to Optalidon for the screens & ICDeadPPL on WinMX for sharing the film with me

Note: Even though the FPS is 29.97 I've not noticed any interlacing or I'd have posted in Low Quality

interlacing? You'd noticed repeat frames and motion problems since whenever i've seen a 30fps rip they've invariably just applied deinterlacing.

I'm going to pop it in here since either way, its been shot on a home video camera or its not ivtc'd, both should really result in placement in the lower quality section methinks :)

Thanks for this, downloading now :beerchug:

That's fine and i didn't question that; it just means its either completely deinterlaced = dupe frames, or its shot on home video :)

I struggle to understand the ''constantly moving'' HQ rules.

Theres a shitload of 29.97 rips in HQ that are bad that I'll get to eventuallly with the Move --> but this one isnt low quality in my opinion. I've d/led far worse from HQ & said nothing. I think you need a verifying group with strict rules coz I'm a lil bit upset by this one. :wacky:

The rules have not changed or moved :?
We've moved plenty of home video movies to the lower quality section. You sure you are not exaggerating?

You have to remember, all we have to go on is the stats of the movie and the screens:

As a rule of thumb, 30fps content gets moved here.

not completed yet, but its reported as having dupe frames at STF which I earlier suggested would be the case if there's no interlacing artifacts :(
http://sharethefiles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107085

Code:
Frame Rate: 29.970 fps (dupe frames)

Symptoms will be stuttery playback, and if you take a 'slideshow' of xyz frames you'll see a couple of lower quality frames that repeat. I've asked for confirmation of that at that thread to make sure its true.

Makes sense, since you rarely get 30fps on retail dvds and if its not interlaced it means the 6 surplus frames a second haven't been deleted :(
