The Mother of Tears (La Terza madre, "The Third Mother" in Italian) is an Italian/American horror film and the concluding installment of Dario Argento's supernatural horror trilogy The Three Mothers. The film depicts the confrontation with the final "Mother", the witch known as Mater Lachrimarum.

The film has also been billed in English speaking media as Mater Lachrymarum, The Third Mother, and Mother of Tears: The Third Mother.

Sarah Mandy (Asia Argento), an American studying art restoration at the Museum of Ancient Art in Rome, examines an urn found at an ancient, decrepit grave near Viterbo. Bound within are the relics of a witch known as the Mother of Tears, Mater Lachrimarum (Moran Atias). Breaking the seal heralds the return of the beautiful yet malefic sorceress' powers, and the world is plunged into chaos. A wave of suicides and crime sweeps over Italy's capital as witches congregate to pay homage to their reborn queen. Sarah must eventually discover her latent supernatural powers with the help of her deceased mother (Daria Nicolodi) and confront Lachrimarum at the opulent Palazzo Varelli.

the Macabria's link is perfect, unfortunately the movie is awful, our Dario has by now lost his mind... too bad, because Jennifer and Pelts (his 2 episodes for the Masters of Horror series) were pretty cool.

Yes, the Italian link is perfect but of course it is Italian language. This is not so bad as there are fan made subtitles floating around for it. Unfortunately we still have to wait for a proper dvdrip in English.

I've not seen the film, commenting on the pre-retail nature of R5 rips.

The Region 5 is severally cropped as seen in the panning during the opening credit sequence. It should be 2:35.1.
