You might want to post some screenshots for quality purposes as some of your specs don't match up with the high quality section. Specifically these...

Good post though :)

Wow! I remember seeing this one, and it's a pretty weird movie, quite weirder than the other two!
Thanks :beerchug:

Hi, thx for all the rips. Just posting to explain why I moved the threads to lower quality.

These ripping tips will improve quality a lot.

Firstly, 29.97fps means you forgot to IVTC or FORCE FILM when you were ripping and are wasting lots of bitrate for the same frame twice. It also introduces stuttering playback. The film actually isn't this framerate, its 23.976fps, but a method known as 3:2 pulldown artificially bumps up this framerate and causes no end of trouble.

You need to make sure you check FORCE FILM when ripping, you can read about this in the ripping guides at http://www.doom9.org

Code:
Video Frame Size.....: 720x400 (1.80:1) [=9:5]
Video Bitrate........: 869 kb/s
Video Framerate......: 29.97
Video Frame Quality..: 0.101 bits/pixel

You should also avoid making a rip as high as 720 resolution unless you have well over 0.18 bits/pixel and your bitrate is over 1000kb/s. You will probably get a nice looking image, but in motion its going to be blocky and more noticable at such a large resolution.

You should drop the resolution to 512 then work upwards to what you can spare rather than ripping to a set standard.

I wrote a bit about all these in the hardware / software section and just exactly what the problems that can occur in ripping, how and why you should avoid them, etc.. You should also grab gknot from http://www.doom9.org, there's a detailed guide to using it and you'll be able to make technically sound and great ripping rips with that software :)

I hope you don't take it as any offense by that, I just wanted to explain why its moved here.
