is the audio de-synced?
i got progs that i use to fix them with. Almost every movie i cap and encode has to be re-synced.

Yep audio de-synced bady. I think the video dropped frames but the audio ripped ok. This lead to the audio being ok for a few minutes and then drifting further and further out the longer the movie went on. Have ordered another motherboard and a 2.4 gig processor. Will re-rip when these arrive. Sorry again

say, that is what happens with almost every one of my captures. If u use the program avi-info, and just reduce framerate by 2 left clicks on lengthen audio, it should sync up.

Hmm, I think i need to re-install. It keeps telling me that avi files aren't a valid win32 application

eh,
i used to get that error too, i think it is because of conflicting drivers.i ended up using the avi-registry reset tool from doom9.net. I'm not sure, but i think it has something to do with the xvid codecs not getting along with some other ones.
