Beyond Dreams Door is an interesting flick to say the least. There is no high
production FX or glorious acting but simple imagination and thats what really sells
me on this movie... The atmosphere is dreamlike which captures what the movie is
trying to say... Its a nightmare thats trying to exist in the real world... It seems
that theres a demon that is stalking anyone who knows of its existance... It wishes
to erase thier identity completely and make as if they never existed...
When I first saw this movie I rented it from a ma & pa video store not expecting the
film I was exposed to... I had to watch it again because I felt lost at first to the
true meaning... There actually is one to be found... Ill have to say that the more times
I watched it the more I seen that I missed before... It grew on me and quickly became
one of my favorite films... There is plenty of HP Lovecraft references and surreal imagery
and a tidbit of gore to keep your interest...
Now Im not going to tell you that this is an absolute masterpiece... In fact you might
think this movie is utter shit so go with that expectation and you might be plesantly
suprised.
