Seriously I recommend this flik fer it's originality and atmosphere as well as good acting. Quote -Atmosphere! This movie had it. Some truly beautiful yet simple camera set-ups (the ferry floats into frame, and then out of it) some strange and haunting visuals (the glade filled with feathers, the erection of a crucifix above the compound) and some wonderful use of home-grown FX (the Mud-Witch's earth teleportation act), and we have a potent little story. Some of the acting is rather excellent.

A group of settlers in the revolutionary times have wondered into a dark and creepy valley to make their home. Soon weird things begin to happen and the old witch of the woods wants to enslave their souls in trees. Will the group take the advise of the psychic girl and leave? What do you think......
Eyes of Fire was an artsy and at times creepy low budge flick in the vein of Blair Witch. Director Avery Crounse manages to create a ominous atmosphere and mixes in some cool and even suspensful moments. We get plenty of fog, naked muddy people, and faces in trees. Good job dude considering what he had to work with. The acting is pulled off pretty well and the special effects aren't bad either.
I enjoyed Eyes of Fire alot and would have rated it higher if it were a bit tighter and easier to follow. It has its moments of bordom, but bounces back strong with a smart story and a moody atmosphere that kept me involved and intrigued. If you can find Eyes of Fire I'd advise you check it out.
