Great! It's been a while since I've seen some Savini FX in a film. 8)

Thanks for posting this! I just finished watching this movie and I enjoyed it... It's extremely low-budget but it's actually pretty creepy... I give it 3 1/2 out of 5 stars :)

One thing though, I believe that this version IS slightly cut... I went to IMDB and read all the reviews and external reviews for this film, and at least 2 of the reviews made reference to a scene where a woman was caught in a trap...

Quote:
The film starts promising enough. In the prologue, a woman and her four children are walking through the hills and come upon a young girl whose foot is caught in a bear-trap, or as they say, a 'demon-trap'. They knock the girl unconscious, take her back to their house in the woods, and then perform a Satanic ritual sacrifice.

However this copy of the film begins with the sacrifice ritual, without ever showing the woman caught in the trap.

Also, the ending credits of this film appear to be cut off before they are finished...

Bugger. I can confirm that this prologue is in the UK pre-cert. I thought I remembered reading about the Vipco re-release being cut but I checked the BBFC website and it said uncut.

I might have cut The end credits a bit but it says on the box that it had passed uncut by the BBFC ! So i dont know what's the truth !? :o

I haven't finished this one but if that scene isn't in it then it's cut. One of Vipco's most endearing qualities is that they say "uncut by the BBFC" and casually forget to mention that the version they put in front of the BBFC is cut :matrix:

I can't quite work out how the same company would present the BBFC with the likes of Cannibal Holocaust or House on the Edge of the Park uncut and then put forward cut versions of stuff like Midnight and Pranks :?

I get a feeling of deja vu here. That rip is abysmal quality and I now believe it is cut. I ripped this from a 2nd gen copy as it had the prologue therefore I believed it to be uncut. I deleted it years ago so I can't reshare it even if I wanted to, which I don't. Get the video-man rip instead, this is superb quality and uncut.

Note to the mods, I still reckon we should have a superseded rips section where the last post is a link to the better rip, and then the thread locked.

but then, even without the intro scene the first rip is uncut afterall or just better?

IIRC it's still cut, vastly superior quality, but this argument is pointless. Forget both these rips, get the video-man rip. There are no FS on these 2 rips for a good reason.
