I thought it was a prequel...  There's hoping it will all make sense when I finally get around to watching it I guess.

It is a prequel. It is just the very first minute. Then the transition is him remembering the past.

They are just fixing the mistakes, the messed up the ending of Dexter, fixed with New Blood, messed up the ending of New Blood, fixed with Original Sin. Let's hope Original Sin ends well, because the sequel is out soon

Finished watching the last episode today. Agree that it is good. I like the casting a lot. The guy playing young Dexter is great and so is the chick playing his sister.

yeah all the actors do a good job... its got to be hard putting so much effort into copying another actor who then narrates your internal monologue
