I uploaded SRT subs for Season 1 to <a href=http://217.64.35.213/xsubt.subt.link.php?dd=LeagueofGentlemenThe1999-English%5BXsubt.com%5D%5B9961113601%5D.zip>eXTra titles</a> if someone is still having problems.
The first subs weren't cut (episode 2 subs started at 30 minutes, 3 at 60 etc.) and one of the second batch subs was wrogn.

I told you Spud this was probably it. Now, could you explain to me how it could have worked on your machine?

@d0c, which episode from the second batch is wrong? Is there any way to correct it? I like vobsubs... :)

Episode 5 - SubRip stopped conversion at 0:18:59; perhaps it plays correctly in VobSub, but I didn't try it.

Hm, I don't think the Xmas Special is shared any longer. Stuck at 539/696mb, as everyone else.

three questions:

1: I dl'ed the first episode of this a long time ago and thought it was really lousy. I didn't even smile or grin one time when the live audience howled with tearfull laughter. Am I just stupid or does it get better?

2:is the title such because there are only male actors?

3:does this have anything to do with that new sean conerey movie?

1. I was disappointed with the first episodes, but IMO later it gets much better. Perhaps they aren't the new Monty Python, as someone suggested, but I like the show very, very much.

I suppose not everyone would appreciate that kind of humour. I know some very intelligent and brilliant people who don't understand Monty and won't even smile watching their sketches, and in the end they'll comment "That's just nonsense, I don't get it, what's so funny about it?" So it all a question of the individual nervous system, I think.

2. Emm... I don't know. Are there?

3. Have you seen it? What a piece of crap! Fortunately it has nothing to do with this one.

No, I'm at 560 MB and there's one full source (Bombadil)

1. It gets much better. Take the first episode as an introduction to some of the characters. Only some because new ones are added constantly.

2. Hmm, the league could be composed of butcher's select clientele.

3. Nope, nothing.

The title more likely comes from, http://imdb.com/title/tt0052997/ ... I'd think. It is actually a phrase I have heard many times a have trouble placing, if I remember or find out I'll post here :). The Ex. League of Gentlemen is a new comic i think, they were doing the live show before it was even conceived, they only got the tv show much later.

There are 4 in the league of gentlemen not 3 as it may seem. The director is the fourth member and writes lots, and directs everything. The writing is done just as it was with monty python, they pair off and write the scetches, that's one of the behind the scenes similarity. You can see the workings of the League and the fourth member on the special I capped a long time ago :)

The first episode eases you into the characters, I'm not sure if any pilot is very funny. Red Dwarf's pilot isn't too hot and that series rules. Bottom's pilot is much worse than the rest of the series. The problem lays in trying to seriously introduce character's and situations and make people laugh. I find it hard to laugh at any american show, so they are even worse ('friends' winnning any award is a disgrace), and if you didn't even smile at "we didn't burn him!" then... well, I don't know what to think. :)

Series 3 is utterly insane, there is no laughter track and it is very sick and very horror. There is no laughter track in the Xmas special either, but the xmas special is much more sketchy.

Sorry friend, I lost the file somewhere. I had it back-upped, but don't remember where. If you want, I can make another bunch or just send them to you in some other form - contact me via PM.

Could you please bring me a nice rip of season 3 of The League Of Gentlemen? With subtitles?

Thanks in advance

Series 3 Episode 1 added, with english subtitles.

When ripping, BBC authored the DVD as single set of vobs, so episodes 4-6 subs were out of sync. Manually fixed those though, no problems (they were 1 second out). Scan checked all episodes for video problems, and checked all subs. Can verify that everything is spot on.

These are dual audio. 128kb/s VBR for main audio, audio commentry at 96kb/s. Use a competant player to switch aduio. Subs are vobsub.

Encoded using Keopi latest Xvid 1.0 Beta 3.

I guess people are having trouble getting into my queue for this one. If you have A4AF, might want to switch, you'll jump to the top of my queue since this is on powershare :)

It's switched on from the very beginning. I think the problem lies in the fact you're using JumpStart or whatever the name of this feature is. I can see only one chunk of your file, which I have already downloaded.
