The Master and Margarita (Russian: Ма́стер и Маргари́та) is a novel by Mikhail Bulgakov, woven around the premise of a visit by the Devil to the fervently atheistic Soviet Union. Many critics[1] consider the book to be one of the greatest novels of the 20th century, as well as one of the foremost Soviet satires, directed against a social order seen as suffocatingly bureaucratic.
Thanks a lot. Actually I've seen this long time ago in Czech television and remember it as quite cool and succesfully capturing the atmosphere of the book. So I hope I'm not mistaken and look forward to see it again.
