Hi,

just ordered two DVDs from Italy (Non Ho Sonno and The Stendhal Syndrom), tink I?ll order The House with laughing Windows next.
I?d like to buy another title, but have no idea, which movie I should take.
Do you have any suggestions, which DVDs from Italy are advisable (uncut, english subs etc.)?

Many thanks in advance :-)

hello,
try with:
The Beyond by L.Fulci
The House by The Cemetary by L.Fulci
Fear In The City Of The Living Dead by L.Fulci
Suspiria by D.Argento
Profondo Rosso by D.Argento
The Cat with Nine Tails by D.Argento
Zeder by P.Avati
The Mask Of The Devil by M.Bava
Cannibal Holocaust by R.Deodato
Anthropophagus by J.D'Amato

i was going to suggest The House With Laughing Windows but i saw you're going to order it..
there are some more but now i cannot find english/international title..

Anyone who is going to buy CH should go for the recently released Grindhouse edition from the USA. It is the definitive edition in terms of picture quality and extras.

R1 is the best picture quality to date, from what I read.

Just recieved "La Casa..." and the subs are positioned so badly, that they are not visible on my 16:9 TV (Only the first line, when there are two). Just to let anyone know, who wants to buy this title.

hm, when I asked the shop, where I bought the DVD, they told me it was a common problem of the DVD. But maybe my or their English was too bad,so that we misunderstood each other. Will try the DVD on anoter TV and when it doesn?t funtion correctly then, I?ll write to the shop again.

Thx for the quick reply.

Hi, the problem is solved. The "Prefered Video Standard" of my DVD-Player was NTSC, switched it to "Content Specific" and the problem was slolved.
