A man is doing research on an island where a strange tribe lives. The man's wife gets into a (sexual) relationship with a woman from the tribe and brings her back to the big city where problems begin to occur.

A movie by Joe D'Amato, also known as "Voodoo Baby". It's not a horror movie (unlike IMDB says), but it has two ritual cannibalism scenes (opening and ending the movie). Not gory ones. The movie has one short h/c insert (with Mark Shannon), otherwise it stays in the single X area.
