I'm asking for a NEW rip for this, before someone show me this link ed2k: Prom%20Night%20(1980).avi [697.15 Mb] [Stats] , I tried that but it works fine running from the hdd but when I burn it on disc it wont play neither on the xbox nor on the pc drive, it starts well but then starts playing like a "scratched" cd and just freezes... having no idea what that is I tried all day long to re-encode it on divx, xvid and all with virtual dub, and being so newbie on that I ended up with 4 different files going from 760mb to 1.5gb and none working fine :/

So after all the story all I'm asking is PLEASE if u have this on DVD do me a big big favor and release a rip online, the old rip looks kinda awful for today standards anyway, its block party playing on the TV

to original poster@ hmm, I have the same file, and I don't remember I had problem watching it\copying it after I burn it on DVD :wacky:

great! I guess a good 700mb with nice video bitrate and average audio "thing" would do

Phantasm: I kinda thought it wasnt a problem with the rip, but it only happened 2 times before , with the beast within and the takashi miike flick violent fire, both played exactly the same as prom night... skipping like bad cds then freezing, I only requested this movie right now because it's also amazing that even being right on the top of the classic slashers from the 80s it was forgotten on our beloved network, the rip really should be replaced with a better one , IMO
