OK here is my first post.

The movie is "I Saw What You Did 1988 (TV)"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095344/

Two teens, Lisa and Kim, are playing games making prank calls on the phone. But when they call Adrian Lancer who has some mental problems, and say "I saw what you did", they ignite a human time bomb. Adrian has just killed someone and thinks they saw him do it. Now he is trying to find them

- And yes it IS the one with Shawnee Smith and Tammy Lauren.
- This is NOT the one form 1965 with Joan Crawford

I saw this move shared once before but obviously that share died.
So please share this movie as long as you possible can.
Show some sacrifice and share this with the next guy out there.

Do not ever let this movie die out!!

It is tv recorded directly to harddrive and not to vhs.
Comercials have been removed.
There are 2 files in vob format. resolution is

352*480 Reported by AviCodec
720*540 Reported by Windows Media Player

About the quality check screenshots here.
http://shawnei.newsit.es/index.htm

Total size is 1.44 Gig. Avoided to make it xvid to not loose any quality.

I say it's a great first post :) This is one of the movies I've been chasing since I ever saw it back in the day, and became something of a heavy nostalgia piece to remember, can't believe I can have it too (this and backwoods in the same day is killing me ;P)

One thing though, I'd love to have the xvid :/ as I can only watch stuff on my xbox and it plays only xvids, at least mine hehe in the state it is... anyways, that's just me... But I believe it'll be turned into xvid and have a long life, because actually it would be a LOT easier for it to have a longe life being an xvid, 700mb... it would go smothly, I'd be resistant to download in this format if this appeared on the donkey search, ignorant as I am... so an xvid will be a lot more sharing friendly, I guess.

Anyway, Very happy this appeared! shawnee smith looked so adorable, not that pretty, just disturbingly adorable hehe love her in summer school

Thanks

The Resolution is 352*480 (half D1) as mentioned here.

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=39098
http://www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=18646

When trying to make it a XVID i get pixelated graphics and interlacing edges that look less than good.

The Vob files maintaines the quality.
Any attempt in making this 352*480 files ressults in less quality.

If i find a solution to get Xvid as good as the vob ill publish it.

just make it bigger than marked.. so it ends up in 580 x XXX, it doesnt matter (it wont look bad, many dvds recorded in SLP come out with this low res, but making it bigger will imrpove (contrary to what's the rule)

Anyhow, that's me talking (and my little or big experience ripping tv recordings).

In other words, dont mind the Qp in this one (you can go as low as 0.12 and it wont be too noticiable)

Besides.. it will be low quality already

EDIT:
Also make sure to go into 29.97 (no pulldown) first, with deinterlacing, and if it doesnt look good, then try pulling down, remember it's a tv rip, so may be the source might change the frame rate.
;)
