anyway, powerful movie, but when compared to the novel it's like children's story.

Just watched this. Read the wiki about the true story the book was based on and found the libertys of the novel/film took a little bit away from the story. A problem with most 'based on a true story' works.

Afterwards I read the details of the real case at crime library...

I am not usually one to swear too much but FUCKING HELL!!!!

when I was reading the book - I was like - it's good, but no way somebody could do something like that. when I found out that GND is inspired by the true story, it just blowed me away, jaw dropped in sheer disbelief. man is a monster.

unfortunately film is not half as good as the Ketchum's book. but still interesting.

Hard to watch movie, even if the original novel is far much more disturbing and terrible. Nice actors too. One of the children is simply outstanding.

Just watched this. Great movie, even with all of the horrible things they do to that poor girl. I've never felt so emotionally involved with a movie like this made me. I just wanted to jump through the screen and beat the shit out of Ruth and her little bastard children. I highly reccommend it, as it is truly a horror movie.
