@elchupacabra,
Yes, a lot of people hate it with
colossal just cause. Its solely because its not a good film stemming from it being not very well made. Its all made much worse by it being wildly out of character, trashing continuity, all the films, the entire flow of artwork for the franchise, and achieves the honour of easily presenting itself as the weakest movie of the main four. And as an action film, its not entertaining so its sole potential saving grace is in fact the worst bit of it. oh dear. Frankly, I could have lived without it in my alien box set, even at the exact same cost, which is one of my favourite dvd sets. You can even tell how shit the fourth film is by how dreadful the quality of the extras are. Seriously watch the other discs, pop in the extra disc for this stinker and observe. No one has anything even remotely interesting to say about the movie, no inciteful information, no stories, no context, no real artistry... the only thing that is worthwhile, and i think aptly sums up the movie is H. R. Giger himself saying the alien in this movie "looks like a big shit".
Simple cause and effect; wrong director and awful writing results in a sore thumb that is rather dumb. Easily Jean-Pierre Jeunet worst film (at least what i've seen) and frankly, I really love the other films he's made that I've seen... no wonder its his only English movie
Seen it twice, and that's it for a lifetime thanks
@Geezus, frankly my dear, you seem to support the concept of liking complete dren... why would i care what you think with such conflicting bad taste?
That's why there'll always be a market for shit though. Kind of an uplifting feeling in the end, makes you think any tool can make a movie when you see a bad film of this calibre. Just the waste of resources that makes me annoyed.
Its like when i see a completely shit painting on the wall at a restaurant or a Starbucks or something. It fills me full of hope and optimism of always being able to find a revenue path knowing that some retard will buy any old crap for way beyond its worth.
