I wonder how many people know this group - probably noone.
Elkeliset is a Finnish band that specializes in covers. Ehm, actually I think in the previous sentence most words should be in inverted comas. They torture the pieces mercilessly, creating parodies, writing their own texts, where every other word is "Humppa". Sometimes, during the concerts, they forget the lyrics. The set of instruments they use is hilarious. And you'll NEVER forget the vocals. The effect is really, really bad, but this is intentional. You just have to hear it! I almost laughed my ass of listening to their versions of 666 by Iron Maiden, Passenger, Metallica and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Some links:
Elkeliset Humppa Til We Die 2000 Full Album.ace - this one contains Iron Maiden and Metallica covers.

Elkeliset.-.Humppa-akatemia.-.2.CD(224kbps).rar - contains Holy Diver and many more well-known pieces.
(suomi - finland) - elkeliset - 1996 - in humppa we trust - live.zip - live! You can't miss this one!
Elkeliset_-_Werbung,_Baby_-_192_kbps_[Link_by_www.eselmetal.de].ace
(Suomi - Finland) - Elkeliset - 2002 - Pahvische.zip
There's also a guy named Anton, who records his own versions of Iron Maiden songs. The problem is he can't sing, and the instrumental part is probably done using some .mid editor, which creates unforgettable effect.

I put all of them on rel prio for some time. Enjoy! [ Add all 7 links to your ed2k client ]

Of course that's what I mean, 666=the numer of the beast. Less typing, pure economy.

Let's see, err, hear it.
BTW, I really, really liked the "Number of the Beast" acoustic guitar version in Spun.

Here's Humpa's homepage:

I really would like to see that DVD they are advertising with the very powerful slogan: "Prepare to the worst"...

I would like to correct you Polityk. Humppa is not the name of the band, it is El?kel?iset. I can understand the misunderstanding because almost everyone of their songs starts with the name humppa. I know this because I have many of their records and I live in Finland.

I know this is the name of the "genre", but they are better known as Humpa than the El-whatever. Also the trailer of the DVD advertises it as Humppa raher than El#@$%#$!, so I guess it can be forgiven that I also advertise it as Humppa.
But thanks for making this clear to me finally. I'll edit the thread title and the initial post.
Oh, and if you like them, perhaps you could rip their DVD?

Eläkeläiset is their real name,
saw these guys now in august, pretty good show actually,
but they didn't fit in that much cause it was a festival for punks and other thrash,
well it was fun, cause sitting and boozing and listening to music out in the sun is the best feeling you get when your a total moron like me
