Plus when searching emule for STR you get ALOT of crap mixed in with our releases.

Search for =STR= and you get all our releases nicely ordered :mrgreen:

E-mailed the submitter asking where he got the links from, I've used the sites feedback to ask an admin to restore the filenames asap, and e-mailed the mod who let the files be submitted. Hopefully they'll be taken down before anyone clicks them. If someone's a member there, if you could get me an e-mail address I should contact (ie site owner) next time this happens I'd appreciate it. I'm not a member there.

Its not really realworlds fault I suppose it was submitted by a user, went through a moderator onto the frontpage, although I am really surprise no1 bothered to check for original filenames. The guy who replaced the tags I just don't understand though :roll:

What could the possible motivation be?

I certainly hope that prat didn't have the nerve, to not only steal credit, but also steal them of this website too. That would royally piss me off. Let me rip it, let me spread it, let me post it over and get it spread, download the files, then take credit for it

Its strange really, on the one hand we 'steal' stuff and put it on the network and then someone else steals it from us we get pissy. The difference here I suppose is, we spent time ripping the stuff, and then someone spent no time and waltzed in retagging and claiming. It would be just like someone cutting out the begining and end credits of a movie and replacing them with his name (now that would be sad). I can't believe someone out there downloads stuff for free, uses their bandwidth, uses their rips and adds their name... it doesn't seem... well normal.

Says a user submitted it as those tags. I had already emailed the submitter anyway, someone had renamed them in emule and they popped out from a search.

obviously the mod who posted it also didn't have the thought or time to check one of the episodes for alternate tags....which i do on everything i download just to be sure the tags stay to the original ripper

I know this is an old and controversial thread to be re-opening but I was looking at Suprnova and saw Nightmares in a Damaged Brain unrated version VHS rip, the one missing uncut nasty!!!

I don't normally use BT but I installed a client and set about trying to grab the file, but Suprnova wouldn't let me so I tried other torrent sites only to discover...

it's my bloody rip, renamed and uploaded by Tifa.

It's not the full uncut version although it is close, and it's not even a bloody VHS rip, it's an official-looking German VCD :twisted:

Back on topic though, it's out of order and the reason for the tags (for me anyway) is to track what I release and make sure it's spreading etc, if some twat removes the tag how can I do that??
