Combining drama, comedy and stire never worked as well as it did in this gem. Being both a ruthless film with sex, drugs and rock&rolll (all of which there are plenty) as well as a nail-on-the-head satirical comment on media and fame, it provides ample necessitation for afterthought.
Seeing it as a teenager had special impact on me, as I could relate to much of what was being recounted. Now, 10 years later, it has an even bigger impact as it reminds me of those days, as well as giving me a thoroughly gratifying viewing experience.

Just when you thought Jake Busey couldn't possibly get any more ugly....

I always thought the theme was really nice:

Would like to get a propper version, but don't think I'll bother buying the record just for that. If anyone else has it... =)

finally got round to seeing this one :)

i feel it was too slow paced and felt it would have been more enjoyable if they showed a bit more of the hostage part and the 2 main actors bonding more in the situation they where in...but still it was a watchable movie which reminded me in parts of Natural Born Killers.....7/10 for me......v good soundtrack throughout though 9/10 for that...and the rip was quality 10/10 for that.

tnx guys. =)

Bassline, I think the most important aspect was the satirical view of fame and the media though. As they say towards the ending, no one could possibly understand what they went through in there, so seeing more of those hostage scenes would possibly just be beside the point, if not even oposite.

hehe, I loved the 'slow pacing' because it added to the unreal, dream-like feeling Spab was experiencing throughout the movie.
