Yeah just got into car frrom work and Radio 1 kept going on about how great John Peel was.

I couldn't beleive it when my mate said he's dead.

A sad day for sure :(

The man that gave us such great things as the Peel sessions...The ammount of groups that appeared on his show and did live recordings is staggering...especially to the world of metal,Carcass,Naplam Death,Prong,Anaal Nathrakh.....the list just goes on...some of groups best works can be found under the Peel session releases...Sucks he died...but we all have our time...I am just greatful for the contribution he did for us all when he was alive.
R.I.P. John Peel

Yeah hugely sad news this week this,,,and for a change even at his ripe old age no ones ever come onto the scene and bettered him, from doing sessions with the stooges and velvets right upto newer acts like the white stripes and dj yoda

R.I.P and I'll never play the fall or Wedding Present without thinking a little of him,,,,
