Since the beginning of time, the Predators, the feared, hulking alien game hunters, have come to Earth for one simple reason: to engage in a coming of age ritual. To become "men," the teenage Predators have to hunt down a hive of Alien warriors and successfully defeat them and claim the skull as its trophy. However, during one hunting session, the easily aggravated Aliens fight back, leading to the destruction of the two species and the Aztec people who worshipped the Predators as Gods. Nearly two thousand years later, billionaire industrialist Charles Bishop Weyland (Lance Henriksen) rediscovers the pyramid, buried thousands of feet under the ice of Antarctica, with his satellites. Knowing that he has discovered something important, Weyland fixes up a team, led by Lex Woods (Sanaa Lathan), and heads down to the Antarctic to find the pyramid. But once they get there, the enslaved Queen Alien awakens from her sleep, which results in the production of new eggs and Facehuggers. And to make matters worse, the new hunting clan of teenage Predators, led by the brash and violent Celtic, have arrived, ready to hunt down both the Aliens and the humans within...

I know the directors cut will be better, this version was hacked to pieces just to make it kiddy friendly, why? Kids will love itmore if it was more bloodthirsty, balls to the skids, these films are for adults, tough tittie for them.

I agree with Tak. I haven't watch this in theater and I will not watch this in its current state. I don't want to ruin the Alien and Predator image in my mind :)

I was pretty hyped about this, even resorted to watching one of the first cams of it, bad move, if my first viewing had been this I may have enjoyed it a little more. As it is currently I have no urge for this.

So I heard. Fucking hope so or I will have to add this film to the "piece of shit" category.

Red Blood on both alien/predator is a bit dificult. :wacky:

I read that uncut will get more battle between both races, maybe more ugly scenes. Movie was cut to fit on kid eyes.

I'm grabbing DoNE's release of Bit Torrent, as I know some people that really want to see this ASAP.

http://bt4.eastgame.net/torrents/b7734e ... 73.torrent

Really hope there is a Dir Cut or Unrated cut, maybe Spud could grow to love the film if he see's different cut

I'd recommend the Done simply because this movie isn't watchable enough for 2cds. Waste of b/w imo.

Doubtful, there was no excuse for this shit film. A different cut won't make the slightest bit of difference, since the only thing that went was allegedly gore.

I say allegedly, because lots of crew members have come out and said this simply wasn't true, and mr anderson was just trying to blame his lack of talent on studio interferance. He's no fincher, I'll put it away. This movie isn't particularly well made on any level at all that I picked up on.

He got laughed at and apparantly everyone was taking the piss all thrugh an advance 'alien' screening (ie. to some people who had worked on the previous films, I think also fincher was there (surely he has better things to do?)).

I really don't think this was even comparable to Alien 4 (to be honest, I can't really think about it). At least Alien 4 has the uniqueness of its director (who does have some talent). If totally ruined by a lack of commitment to that style, at least that might have retained a little bit of dignity in it.

Total crap, one of the worst movies this year by quite a long margin.

Exactly why I'm going for it, 2CD seemed a waste

Don't see you on queue for it though spud :P
