Ok that's kinda nice, but what the hell should i purchase
if i look at the site krug posted i can't find anything which looks like the thing you guys are raving about

http://www.gbax.com/

Maybe this is because i still don't have the slightest idea how these things look

Maybe someone can point it out for me, and you guys are sure these work with as Nintendo DS ???? Not that i eventually purchase a completely useless feature for the DS

And another question, How will i transfer the data onto the flashcard ???? is there some kind of device where you insert the flashcard in which allows me to write data on it ?????

Just some questions i have about this, but my interest is triggerd

hope someone knows

Shoot me, but the only roms i find (there are really a lot) are non-official Nintendo releases. Is there by any chance one of you who knows if i can download for example let's say The Turtles (originally available for GBA) .

And will this be the same as i buy this in the shops.
If i want to play the other ones i will put up the most intense gaming machine ever created.

The COMMODORE 64 :beerchug:

You can download any GBA game, write it to your cart and then play it just like an original. If it doesn't work at first, the release groups normally come up with a hack so it can work on flash carts (an example is making the game save correctly). Most games work just like you would play them with the original cart. There are exceptions I think, but I've never encountered one.

Also there is a few other things you can do with the cart, like emulate other systems on the GBA/DS : http://www.gameboy-advance.net/gba_roms ... on_gba.htm

I have 256mb and that is enough for me. As far as I know, no rom is bigger than 256mb and very few actually are the full 256mb. Just a few like Pokemon and the GBA Video roms. Most games are 128mb or 64mb. I normally have 2-3 games on at a time, play those to death and then start again with some new games.

Flash2Advance (F2A) is pretty popular i think, I have the XG Flash 2 cart but only because it was cheaper at the time. One version of Flash2Advance even has a rewind button so you can rewind your game!! :wacky:

The improved version of mine is the one called 'XG2T 256M Plus Kit' on GBAX (http://anonym.to/?http://www.gbax.com/n ... #gbabackup). It definitely works on DS.

To put the roms on it, you get a linker device with the cart. You plug it in your USB<->GBA link port, install the drivers, use the software you can find on the disc included or on the internet for a newer version to flash the roms through the GBA onto the cart that you insert in the GBA.

Oops just remembered, you CAN'T flash the cart through your DS, but some flash carts have external linker units instead, but it doesn't look like many carts have that feature any more :(

However, I just found one that is perfect for you. It's called Extreme Flash Advance, with this one, you can plug the USB cable straight into the cart. There's a review of it here: http://www.64scener.com/gba/efa.htm I even found somewhere in Holland selling 256mb and 512mb selling them: http://www.importshop.nl/

One simple reason why you can't flash through the DS: no link port.

Now, if somebody were to make a wireless linker... :o

HAHAHA look at this story from yesterday's Sun (no I don't buy it): http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2005001262,00.html

This is what happens when you buy carts of eBay, they tell you to fuck off and die! Other sites report this cart is a pirate and the message is part of the cracktro from the ROM.
