This 647MB archive is put together and shared by a friend of mine. If you see as a full source a Canadian guy with a nickname "Thanos", you can be sure this is what it says it is. He's got quite a big UL and he'll also keep it shared for long, so no worry.

I think that here: http://www.maelmill-insi.de/UHBMCC/DRSTRAN.HTM#S4 you will find the detailed information about the first Dr. Strange series (1968-69, #169-183, continued from Strange Tales) and the second one, here mistakenly named v1 (1974-1987, #01-81). Issue titles, dates, artists and additional info.
This archive contains the complete v2 that ran from 1974 to 1987.
The Faust Gambit was part of the "Dr. Strange Sorcerer Supreme" serie (note the "Sorcerer Supreme", others were named just "Dr. Strange" -- though this can also be found named "Dr. Strange v3") that ran for 90 issues from 1988 to 1996, it was in issues 5-8 of it to be exact (July-Oct. 1989).
I think it should be in this particular pack, also shared by Thanos:

You're welcome
The story with the real v1, as mentioned above, is a bit tricky. Dr. Strange was first appearing in a book called "Strange Tales", which was renamed "Dr. Strange" with issue 169. It changed the name, but kept the numeration (it happened quite often with Marvel books in the 60s). It also ended with issue 183 in 1969, so there wasn't much of it anyway. Dr. Strange then became one of a major characters in Marvel Features and Sub-Mariner until he got his own book in 1974.
And the link for it is here:
ed2k: Dr.Strange.v1.#169-183.zip [96.38 Mb] [ Stats]
Also shared by Thanos, scans are supposedly of a very good quality (and quite big, judging from the size of the pack), but I can't say for certain, since I haven't got around to downloading it yet
btw just thought of something - there really seems to be a lot of comics stuff going on lately on HHAH.... maybe it's time to devote a little piece of a site to it? Just a thought

If you mean ed2k and comics, then of course there is THE ed2k comics site, Comic Central:
http://www.comic-central.cc/
(yes, the front page hasn't been updated for quite some time, but the real life goes on in the forum )
As for BT, there is of course Z-Cult FM:
http://zcultfm.com/main.php
They release a lot of stuff, but as usual with torrents, they tend to die quickly. I haven't been there for a long time and heard there were some changes, but before, their torrents were public and could be found in many places... http://www.thepiratebay.org is one of the most popular BT sites with their own share of comics, you can check that out too.

yes , its true the hulk , captain america , and quite a few others started in anthology titles which then led to Volume 1's being very high numbered to start

And the thing with Hulk is even more messed up! The book was renamed to "The Incredible Hulk" from "Tales to Astonish" with #102 in 1968, but there was already the "Incredible Hulk" (without "the") series in 1962-3, which would make the renamed one v2.... Then, after it ended with #474, it was restarted from #1 with the name "Hulk", then renamed back to "Incredible Hulk" (again w/o "the") in 1999 from #12... But that still wasn't "Hulk v1" (though it said so in indicia), because there was already "The Rampaging Hulk" book, which became "Hulk" in 1981 with #10! And that's not even counting tons of mini-series, specials and Annuals (which were first numbered with numers and then with years!)... Captain America shares a similar fate with, I think, over 5 solo series so far, not too mention Captain America and The Falcon and similar things...
Marvel books are a real, real mess to sort out... I guess that comes out of being one of the main mainstream publishers - you won't see this happening with IDW books

I'm also looking for copies of:
Tales of Suspense (series 1) #32
Strange Tales (series 1) #79
Journey into Mystery (series 1) #78
as these contain what are considered to be stories with Dr Strange "prototypes". Tales of Suspense 32 also contains an Ant-man "prototype".
The term "prototype" being used very loosely but these old anthology comics are interesting in that you can try to spot the development towards the later characters from the mighty world of Marvel.

http://www.comic-central.cc/forum/viewtopic.php?t=925
Quote: | Synopsis: Starting with issue 35, Marvel began testing characters such as Ant-Man/Giant-Man, the Wasp, the Hulk and the Sub-Mariner in this magazine featuring various scifi, horror, and mystery stories. |

A little bump just to let you know...
Dr. Strange V1 (1968) has been cleaned, sorted out and repacked. I'll put the link up in the Misc/Other Releases forum as usual. More are on the way!
