This film is totally different to what tth trailers would have you believe. It's a good film, I enjoyed it, but the trailers concentrate solely on the black eyes, satanic possession etc. which would have you believe it's more like all the other teen horror films, and not the coutroom drama / horror film it is.
It looks like the marketing dept. didn't have enough faith to sell the film on it's actual strengths and so tried to make it look more generic than it actually is.
A strange choice, I would have thought a lot of the teen audience drawn in by the trailers would be very disappointed with the film, wheras an older audience who would enjoy it more would IMHO be put off by the "teen horror" trailers.

This is a very good psychological horror. I didn't think a horror film could scare me anymore but this one did, and either I dreamt it or I woke up the night I watched it as the clock turned from 2:59 to 3:00, spooky or what?
BTW does anyone know what was cut for the PG-13 rated US theatrical version, or if the UK 15 rated version is uncut?

bbfc made no cuts to the uk versions, however, the theatrical version is rated 15 runs at 119m 21s (24fps). The video runs at 114m 30s (25fps) and is rated 12.
Frame rate accounts for 4% change. The question is whether it is precut by sony. The classification has changed so you have to wonder.
